QLD Health Alert: Counterfeit Oxycodone Warning
Queensland Health has alerted the community about counterfeit oxycodone tablets containing a potent nitazene opioid. These tablets, detected by CheQpoint, a state-funded drug checking service, were found in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. They are round, blue, and marked with “M 30.”
This is a timely reminder to consider participating in the Take Home Naloxone program, which provides naloxone free and without a prescription to individuals at risk of, or who may witness, an opioid overdose or adverse reaction. Participation in the program comes at no additional cost to your pharmacy.
