Interpretation of Results:
Refer to the Instruction for Use (IFU) for detailed diagrams and explanations.
-
Positive Test Result:
- For Chlamydia: If a line appears at both the control region (C) AND the test region (T1 for Chlamydia - verify specific region T marker from IFU).
- For Gonorrhoea: If a line appears at both the control region (C) AND the test region (T2 for Gonorrhoea - verify specific region T marker from IFU).
- Even a faint or weak line in a test region (T) should be considered a positive result if the control line (C) is present.
- Action for Positive Result: You MUST consult a medical practitioner immediately for confirmatory laboratory testing and advice regarding treatment if required. Early treatment is important.
-
Negative Test Result:
- Only a red line appears in the control region (C) for each test strip, and NO line appears in the respective test regions (T).
- Important: A negative result does not guarantee you are not infectious. If symptoms persist or you have concerns, you MUST seek medical assistance from a healthcare professional.
-
Invalid Test Result:
- If no control line (C) appears in the control region for either or both tests, the results are invalid.
- This may be due to insufficient sample volume or incorrect procedural techniques.
- If a C-Line does not appear, review the test procedure and repeat the test using a new test device. If the invalid result continues, please contact Touch Biotechnology (details in IFU) for assistance.
Crucial Medical Advice:
This at-home self-test is a screening tool. All results (positive, negative, or invalid) should be discussed with a healthcare professional for additional guidance, confirmatory testing where appropriate, and follow-up care. Do not make decisions about medical care or treatment based solely on this test result. Always consult a healthcare professional.
