2024 shortage of Orencia medicines
The pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb Australia (BMS) is anticipating shortages of both Orencia (abatacept) 125 mg products:

ClickJect (autoinjector) in shortage 3 June to 30 August 2024
Prefilled syringe in shortage 17 June to 30 September 2024
Information for pharmacists
BMS has put in place an Orencia Stock Hypercare Plan (OSHP) to manage orders of Orencia and dispensing from pharmacies during the shortage.
Patients will need to:
- get their treating specialist to confirm their eligibility using an OSHP Eligibility Form; and
- give the completed form to their pharmacist or ask the specialist to email the form directly to the pharmacy.
